Guide To Bondage Play

Not everyone is into BDSM but for those that are interested, this guide will give you the low down on this very special lifestyle.

What does BDSM stand for?

BDSM stands for Bondage & Discipline, Sadism & Masochism. BDSM is the term given to describe the sexual lifestyle of an individual or couple that involves pain via whipping, spanking, physical restraint, domination and submission.

What does it entail?

BDSM are sexual acts involving all or some of the points above between consenting adults to experience mutual satisfaction and excitement. Many people involved in this kind of sexual pleasure go to special S & M parties or gatherings to either find an S & M partner or act out their sexual fantasies in front of a group of people.

S&M

By using special tools designed for S&M play, it is possible to experience varying degrees of pain that heighten the feelings of sexual pleasure by increasing the levels of endorphins in the blood. Care must be taken, however, never to cross over the line laid out by your partner of the amount of pain she/he can endure.

The tools generally needed for S&M are whips, paddles, nipple clamps, dog collars and chains and some harnesses.

If you would like to try out some mild form of S&M, why not try a paddle or whip on your partner? Gradually build up the strength of your spanks or whips over time as he/she gets used to it. Always stop if your partner tells you to do so. Everybody has their own level of pain that they can tolerate. Never exceed this no matter how excited it makes you feel.

Bondage

Bondage is the act of tying someone up or restraining them physically to restrict movement. It is often accompanied with S&M but can also be practised on its own especially if you are not into the painful side of S&M.

Methods of restraints used are ropes, wrist and ankle cuffs, body restraints, leather harnesses and chains or silk scarves and can be used as part of domination and submissive sex play. With bondage, there doesn't have to be any pain involved though in some cases that can be carried out, too. It all comes down to your personal preference.

Try gentle bondage to begin with by using just handcuffs or wrist and ankle cuffs. Many find the sensation of domination extremely exciting and it could bring you a new level of pleasure in your sex life.
